A COIN South Activator Session is a 20-minute discussion where you have the chance to talk through your business, venture or idea and get focused feedback from the team at COIN South. It takes a little bit of bravery to share your idea with new people, but after just 20 minutes you’ll walk away with next steps and valuable advice.
How much does it cost?
Nothing but time.
The sessions are free, and all we ask is that you’re respectful of everyone’s time. Turn up early, ready to take notes, and you’ll get the most out of your 20 minutes.
What do I bring?
Big ideas. And an open mind.
The session is simply an informal chat, however you’re welcome to bring anything you need to explain your idea (notes, drawings, websites, photos, presentations, financials etc.) or just bring you. If you’ve completed your COIN Canvas, bring that along too.

A 20-minute chat with someone from the COIN South team about your business. You might have a business idea and aren’t sure where to start, or maybe you’ve already kicked things off and just need help figuring out the next steps.
We know good ideas can come from anywhere. This session isn’t about judging your idea, it’s about listening, offering practical advice, and connecting you with tools or people to help you move forward.
We’ll ask you two main questions:
How did you arrive at this idea?
What’s stopping you from scaling quickly?
We’ll ask you a bunch of other questions too, like who your customers are, whether you have an accountant, how big you want to get. You can tell us as much or as little as you like within the 20 mins.
