Elevator Pitch.
COIN South is a collaborative innovation network for Southland startups and businesses to grow and thrive. We have an incredible network of mentors, industry experts, alumni and coaches, and a can-do attitude. We’re focused on coaching individuals and businesses using startup methodology and innovation tools to ensure we support successful, profitable, and sustainable businesses, and connect startups and businesses with the right people, skills, and tools at the right time.
Ours is a bottom-up approach: nail your bottom line from the bottom of the world, and everything from there is up.

Our Team.
Cathy has 10 years' experience in project management and delivering design thinking specialising in human centered design and behavioral change projects. She is a collaborative and strategic thinker who is passionate about business, community and the environment.
Fran has 15 years' experience as a commercial lawyer and leads COIN's Startup programmes. Her expertise are in Mapping your customer Journey, validation and product commercilisation.
Brian has 25 years of experience leading innovation and managing people, projects, and products for a wide range of industries. He has led two innovation labs to transform product concepts into commercial realities employing advanced technologies and has been involved in ten start-ups and early-stage businesses.
Saskia is a New Product Development Specialist, She has worked with over 70 businesses in NZ helping them to improve their product development productivity. She’s backed by a Master’s degree in Industrial Design Engineering and has worked as a speaker, trainer, coach, facilitator and mentor over the past 20 years.
