The Clutha Development Microgrant is here to help you take the next step, whether that’s testing a prototype, getting feedback from potential customers, or finally putting a logo on your idea.
Grants range from $500–$1,500, and designed to give Clutha locals with a business idea a nudge forward. Simple, practical support to help you take action.
Whether you’re just starting out or already building something small, if you're based in Clutha and have a clear plan for how a bit of funding could help you please apply.

THE DETAILS.

A small financial injection for people with a business idea, to help you take action and move forward to the next stage with your idea or business

Validating your idea or business model.
Market research and customer identification.
Minimum Viable Product development.
Prototyping and testing.
Pitching or showcasing your idea.
Marketing or brand awareness support (branding, logo, packaging, photography).

We do not fund founders who:
Are based outside the Clutha district.
Do not have a plan for how the grant will be used.
Have a one-off project with no long-term potential.
Are seeking formal investment.

Clutha district based founder or start up.
Not already received external investment for the idea.
Can clearly identify what the funding will be used for.
Can clearly identify cost.
Agree to participate in publicity around the Clutha Development Microgrant Fund.
Agree to report on outcomes, learnings and next steps 3 months after receiving funding

One off grant ranging from $500-$1,500 that does not need to be repaid and does not take equity.
